Further Education Students
At Ulster our key objective is to provide our students with learning experiences that will give them the confidence, knowledge and skills to enable them to take up challenging employment opportunities and to contribute to the further development of their chosen profession.
A levels and BTECs
We make most offers in UCAS Tariff points, therefore taking into consideration your full academic profile. So, no matter if you are undertaking BTEC qualifcations, A levels or an Access courses, we will award points accordingly.
Access Courses
As part of our commitment to ensure that all students are given access to apply to university education, we will consider any approved Access course provided that this includes the requisite Mathematics modules and these have been successfully completed. This may also include those Access courses which were previously acceptable, but which are no longer currently offered by the Further Education section. The following University of Ulster approved Access courses are recognised as incorporating Mathematics to the required standard:
- Access Diploma in Combined Studies
- North West Regional College - if optional Level 3 Maths is undertaken
- Access Diploma in Social Sciences

Flexibility
